i was playing some intense tower defense but they started to close in on me and i had to hop the wooden fence... on the other side was atleast 300 zeds and i was 1ms from being dragged down but escaped only with one scratch on right hand

I have read about these insta-kills somewhere. Reddit I think. The main theories are:

  1. That you checked instant kill on sandbox settings.
  2. They're not instant, just very fast bleed outs when you're already on low health.
  3. Neck bites have a RNG chance of instant killing you either way which makes it a feature.
  4. A bug.

No definitive answers to this though, but has been known to happen. It also a very rare occurance.

The first two seem unlikely in your scenario and every scenario I saw on that Reddit post. But you know what Reddit is like. 3 and 4 are the more likely things. Also if you removed an infection in debug mode the next infection will insta kill you since removing it there doesn't stop the "death clock", just the lethality, and the counter is already up when you get the next one but afaik you didn't do that.

K plan is overly simple

Run to the main checkpoint, somehow clear it out with lacerated right hand and only a handaxe, find a car, load it up with guns and ammo (hopefully), go clear the area, find a base and more

Both are fairly well fenced in already and great access to water.

Railway station is probably gonna be a little tricky to clear out, but doable. The Motel is probably the easiest one of the to to secure.

Hm i could try the motel, i lived at the Railway station before and it was extremly painfull since they kept on coming from all sides and also it was too far

motel is perfect and also has good parking spots and more peacefull place on map

gonna have to build a fence around the whole area anyway and the motel is a litle less work

Looking good. All those zeds sure did a number on your APC but at least you made it there. A broken leg isn't optimal but hopefully it'll heal quickly. My settings for injuries are unchanged from default and it rarely takes a full week to heal broken bones tbh. And the ammo room ready just in time for Christmas day too! Happy holidays 😄

Do you start your games late in the year btw? It's usually summer when I start my games. By the time snow starts falling power and water tend to be long gone as well.

imo vanilla winter is much easier then vanilla summer or any other season since you can wear alot of clothing (more defense) and still you won´t overheat

Yeah, you'll need that generator up and running now! Even running over zeds works well as long as you do it in reverse to avoid breaking the hood/engine.

You are quite near a neighborhood though. Don't forget to check mailboxes and trashcans. They can be pretty good sources for various magazines. As well indoors ofc.

Spent 11 hours today just restoring the unrestored cars in my collection. Lots of dragging home cars and salvaging undesired cars. Lots of materials started to build and the collection looked more like a scrapyard than a collection. Had to do something about it. Generally I drag them home with 10% or less on all parts and fix them up to reliable condition. But they are all looking great now I can drag home some more but now it's time for bed!

Thanks! I like it too ofc. Had this one for 8 years now and had one just like it in blue before that for 6 years. It is the perfect daily as far as I'm concerned and I don't want anything else for that purpose. Other cars come and go, but a 124 wagon will always remain for day to day use.

It does have areas that need attention but nothing structural and what is there is kept in check with regular oil treatments and etching primer. Under the very back of the back side window on one side and near the front window on the drivers side. Jack points are fine though which is where they usually go. Some day it might get that attention but that's require the rear side windows and front windshield out and if I'm doing that I feel like it needs a full respray as well. As long as I can keep in in check I'm happy with that. It is a year round daily driver after all.

Mine sat for a similar number of years before I bought it but it was at least kept in a garage in that time and I'm only the 3rd owner. But the first owner must've been a travelling salesman or something. It was originally a cargo wagon with no back seats and 410.000 kms on it when I got it. But that owner must have taken very well care of it.

Yeah. Technically I'd need a fully body respray as well for things to look right. Just painting the panels with problems is gonna look like mess at the best of times. But I don't mind the patina as it is. It's not a show car and that's not the point.

I avoided all the electric toys on purpose so mine is still manual. Apart from the comfort seat. But that is also manual apart from the lumbar support and I got it for free 😛
