#can these specs run zomboid modded 60+ fps?

I think those specs are all you need for modded zomboid, depends on which mods ofc.
Enough to run Louisville 5000+ zombie horde?
If you lower your resolution low enough, yes
Guessing FPS is pretty much impossible without knowing all the variables
On a low resolution, absolutely. On a 4k monitor, not really
Zoomed in or fully zoomed out? Another major variable
On a 1080p monitor
Fully zoomed out sometimes
Also I used to play on a 3050 with 16gb ram i5 10400f wdym low settings it was running fine
I am not sure how well the Intel ARC is optimized for OpenGL applications, so I cannot be sure about its performance
Generally Nvidia has the best OpenGL optimization, so if you get a Nvidia card it will run better than an AMD or Intel one for the same price
Just due to the optimizations
Unless you get a Quadro card, those are unoptimized for OpenGL
I mean idk about that
But from benchmarks n stuff I've seen it has similar performance to rx6600 or rtx3060
Not many zomboid benchmark vids out there
I understand, I am just saying that benchmarks do not show the whole picture
Because of driver and API optimizations
Oh
Which adds to the whole "cannot guess the FPS" thing
There isnt really a good answer to your post
It should run fine on the standard zoom in 1080p is all I can say
Oh yeah they have poor open gl performance
From what I've just read
It's from 7 months ago tho
Whether its 60+ FPS or what the effect of zooming out will be is hard to say
PZ uses OpenGL, so thats something to consider
It used to be bad, but they released a few drivers to improve it a lot
It still isnt on Nvidias level as far as I am aware, but its not outright bad
I could get a rx6650 for 40€ more tho which is like better than the rtx3060
This is just my personal opinion though, I have not had the pleasure of testing the ARC Cards myself yet
They might be good, but from what I see they are not comparable to AMD or Nvidia just yet
At least not in OpenGL workloads
In DirectX its very close
My main PC has a nvidia 4080, my secondary has the AMD RX 7700 XT
Also what do u think of the Rx 6650 xt?
Damn lucky
More like broke, since they are way too expensive
I can't even afford a 700€ am4 build rn u don't know broke
😭😭🙏🙏
Yeah I understand, hope your situation improves
I do not know much about the 6650 XT, it should be perfectly fine
For my workloads, I would lean towards the 4060 if the price is similar enough
There are a few factors, since it runs AI stuff better, if you are ever interested in that, better OpenGL support and it has DLSS, if you play games that use that (which is still superior to FSR)
Yeah I mean
But it would really depend on the prices and budget
I agree on the dlss and ai stuff
But tbh 4060 ain't much better than the 3060 From what I've heard
For the majority of games, AMD wins on performance per dollar
Yeah, I have to go for 4060 because the 3000 series doesnt have DLSS 3
Or it doesnt have frame generation
Or one of those things
Yeah
Still tho I pretty much have to go AMD rn
I heard fsr 3 is available on all GPUs so
At least that's something
I would personally recommend AMD over Intel, no shade thrown at anyone with an Arc card
Just for PZ specifically
Alr ty
Would u say uh
It would run like 1080p max settings modded
With max zoom
I have 60 FPS with max zoom on the 4080
Max zoom is generally not the best metric
Because it destroys performance regardless of the GPU
If you disable the last level or two from the zoom then it will run perfectly fine
Also B42 will have optimizations in this regard, so I think you will be totally fine with that PC
I mean to be fair correct me if I'm wrong but like
From what I've seen zomboid is pretty much capped at 60fps
Alr ty for the advice
Not exactly sure what you mean by that, it runs great on lower zoom levels
Its just that the zoom feature isnt optimized in the current version, so the FPS drops a lot
Its not really capped, but it does limit the performance a lot
I can get it to 80 with a few tweaks
Or to 140 after a few more
experimental ones that I would not generally recommend
To run your own server? Yes it would run a small server just fine
For more players or a ton of mods you would want more RAM though
Like 8+ players
AMD openGL is much much more performant on Linux than it is on Windows btw 🐧
And to join another server?
