#Getting stuck on "Server Started" while trying to host

Trying to host and I'm getting stuck on a screen that says "Server Started" and the coop log ends with a bunch of these:

LOG : General , 1725815256376> 1,190,183,451> command entered via server console (System.in): "ping@pong"

I'll leave a pastebin link to the whole thing for anyone who might have some more insight into what's going on: https://pastebin.com/rrFfYuAQ

For more context, I tried to do this earlier with mods and all that and was getting the same error, but the log was too big for pastebin, so this is entirely w/o mods except for modmanager. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you also share the console.txt file from this connection attempt?

#

Since the issue may be in the client as well

Yep, sorry for the delay.

#

There are a couple errors I spotted, but I have no idea what Winter Wonderland Server 1 Config would even refer to

It seems to disconnect right after loading the voip.
Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -novoip > Start the game
If that does not help, can you try typing -nosound instead? This is to check if it is a sound related issue.

Tried the voip option, didn't work, here's the console for that attempt

#

And for posterity the nosound as well, though I'm seeing the same network failed to respond lines from the voip attempt

#

Specifically looking at line 1298 of that first voip log:
LOG : Network , 1725895985910> 0> [09-09-24 10:33:05.910] > ZNet: CSteamSDK -> CZombienet: ServerFailedToRespond

To rule out any mod issues, since you have some in your logs, can you delete the "mods" folder in the Zomboid folder as well?

#

Then retry hosting

rustic phoenix
#

Yep, give me one sec

#

Forgot to disable to nosound, but still no dice

There seem to be some config files from old servers listed there. Can you also try to delete both the "Lua" and "Server" folders as well? This should basically reset several game settings, saved servers and mod configs, as well as the server settings

#

Since there is not much to go on in the logs at this moment

rustic phoenix
#

Yeah, quite a long while ago, let me see if that will work

#

Bingo!

#

Should've figured a full soft reset of basically the whole game would be what it'd take

#

There were some warnings about the 16162 port being closed while loading on the whole "this is how you died" screen, not sure if that will make any difference

Generally it does not, but if you do run into issues then it might be worth it to open it
