Black Screen When Joining a Multiplayer Server

Does anyone know how to fix this problem when joining a modded server?

My friend is experiencing this issue. He can join on some servers without any problems, but on other servers, he only gets a black screen. Although he can hear in-game sounds and I can see him on the map, his screen remains black. After a while, his game stops responding and eventually crashes.

The file seems to be corrupted unfortunately, I would suggest deleting that file from the Zomboid folder

And instead, can your friend share the console.txt file after joining a server where he gets the black screen?

This one is good, however it just seems to show a problem with the "Cataclysm: dark days ahead - Occupations" mod before the black screen

We tested with vanilla occupation and with no traits. He still got black screen and crashed.

Hm, I might suggest trying a clean reinstall in this case...

First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.

After that, go to the Steam Workshop page for the game and unsubscribe from all mods, there is a button for that when you go to My Subscriptions

Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
