Project Zomboid not launching all of a sudden

I did all the usual troubleshooting stuff, and then decided to just uninstall and delete all my files related to it, however upon reinstalling nothing has changed.

Does using the Alternate Launch option through Steam work?

Yes, I did, still gave the same results.

Could you share a screenshot of the console window that shows up in that case?

Dunno if it matters but I did notice it says user country US, and I am not from the US lol

It should not.. it looks like it fails at loading the sound / graphics

Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type** -novoip** > Start the game
If that does not help, can you try typing -nosound instead? This is to check if it is a sound related issue.

Start the game normally this time, since alternate launch does not use these launch options

Did do, but it didn't change anything, still won't launch.

In that case, to get more info, can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?

In that case, can you check the Windows Reliability monitor for any ProjectZomboid application crashes there? If you do find any, can you share a screenshot of the Technical Details section so we can check the errors that show up there?

That error is generally related to a vibration driver error

Do you have any controllers connected?

Could you try disconnecting them?

I haven't found a way yet to get it to work with the controller though, do you use it in PZ?

It did take a bit longer to start up, but that's probably because I did a clean reinstall last night before contacting you for help.

Also started up in windowed because I also changed that in the files thinking that that might be the problem, but that was changed in just 2 seconds so yknow.

Is Zomboid even controller compatible ?
