Any mods enabled? Does it happen without them?
Yes the only mod I have is BetterSorting
This happens at anytime of the day
And Im in build 41.78.16
Does it happen without the mod?
Yes
Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
It looks like the last 5 logs all have mods enabled
Meaning I cannot look further into the issue as it may be mod related
Can you first replicate the issue without mods on a new save, then share the logs?
here
LOG : Mod , 1721352920065> loading TheStar```
From your log, you still have mods enabled
I would recommend you do a game reinstall at this point.
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
The last log is from the 17th, and still shows mods enabled
Was that the last time you started the game?
LOG : General , 1721352888767> 19-07-2024 08:34:48
From the log
19th actually
Can you send the logs again?
From the latest log you sent:
LOG : Mod , 1722333103223> loading ShowSkillXpGain
LOG : Mod , 1722333103225> loading P4HasBeenRead
LOG : Mod , 1722333103243> loading BetterSortCC```
I do not think I can help further unless you disable the mods as asked
have you checked the log_2
but I even tried removing all mods from the Zomboid file
This time it looks good, however something seems wrong with the game install
How did you install it exactly..?
I asked a friend (he is my classmate and trustable) to install it for me and he copied all the file from his steamapps/common of and compressed it into a .rar file
Then I just use .7zip
Extract it and play
Just to understand, you do not have a legal copy of the game in that case, right?
It would, yes
Unless you use the Steam Family Sharing
Which it doesnt seem like that is what you use
Regardless, I would recommend you move the game to a different location than you have now, since the game install seems to be broken
I would recommend something like C:/Games/Project Zomboid
You currently have it somewhere in your User folder, which would be bad practice
