#What's with mod update errors in MP?

Every time I update one of my most popular mods, I get loads of complains from random server owners saying their server won't go up, or players can't join etc. due to random errors caused by either Steam or the game itself. No idea who's at fault here, but it definitely isn't my mods.

For instance, last week I updated Common Sense and now there's someone saying they get this error:

TimeStampMismatch
Installed status but timeUpdated doesn't match!!!
LOG : General , 1709208721344> 21,949,463,390> Workshop: item state CheckItemState -> DownloadPending ID=2875848298
LOG : General , 1709208721379> 21,949,463,425> Workshop: DownloadPending GetItemState()=Installed|NeedsUpdate|DownloadPending ID=2875848298

Then it just throws this error after it resets continuously.

Other people sometimes have also referred to the error file doesn't match the one on the server even though everybody has the mod files updated.

As far as I am aware, "file doesn't match the one on the server" is caused by the mod not being updated right by Steam, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod would fix the issue due to all the files being redownloaded

#

The other issue you posted would need more investigating, do you have the whole log?

The person that reported the error told me they uninstalled the mod and reinstalled a day later and still had the same issue

#

I don't have the logs of the second person, will ask if they can provide it

The "TimeStampMismatch" person

#

The file match is simply just a need to reinstall, they have not done it correctly if they claim the issue persists without it

#

Or they are using a modpack with your mod

#

Would need to see the whole error instead of just the claim

Thanks for your time, Beard! I'll let them know. If they reply I'll make another thread.
