Loot and Zombie respawn changes AFTER server starts | Project Zomboid | Page 1

Is it possible for the changes applied on the .ini files on a dedicated server to take effect in the game after it’s started. I.e. say I want to adjust zombie respawn rate. Or say I want to adjust loot respawn… does it actually take effect or does it require a brand new game?

It will work, but it will take a while for the zombies to thin out

Will it be done by natural means or by player means? If done by natural means are we talking about 3 to 6 months?

Also I assume the loot respawn works similarly with the count down starting when the server reboots and reads the new config file?

It would be faster than months, the server will do it by itself

Same with the loot

#

The new settings will instantly apply to newly discovered areas

#

But older ones will have to first respawn for the new loot to be spawned
