socks are kinda my go-to if i dont have anything to bandage. super easy to get (basically on every single zombie in the game) but most of the clothing will work too

one thing i should mention. might help cuz a lot of newer players dont seem to figure this out until way later, is that unless you tweaked the settings of the peed of the zombies(runners) then you CAN outwalk the zombies. dont be pressing shift(so you save the much needed stamina for fighting) or godforbid you press alt and trip INTO the horde XD

if you jog(left shift) over small fences n stuff you have a chance of tripping. but if you press left alt for sprint. you have the chance of falling over after running into a wall. tripping on trees while going through them. or just straight up tripping of the zombies themselves(or other players if you sprint past them)

its how i leanred to fight 100+ zombies on my spawn roof with just a lead pipe without it

if you learn how to fight good with multi hit on. its 10x easier to learn how to fight with it off, after you fight and 2win your first like 20-50+ horde on your own

yea it gets like that, there is a HUUGGGE learning curve learning the game for the first time. but trust me when i say once you learn all this. the game gets a lot easier really fast. and actually becomes enmjoyable bc around that time youll also know the kinds of settings you like as well as what kind of loot and zombie spawns n stuff you like

QoL dont make it necessarily harder bc its things that just... make sense. like bawe game you cant open a can of food with a screwdriver or spear or hammer or anything like that, you HAVE to have either a knife or a can opener. and im pretty sure if IRL youre dying of hunger. im sure youd make use of a hammer to get that sumbitch open

with like 5-10 more cities = more loot closer togetehr. you can turn some loot spawn rates down and make it say really hard to find canned goods but fresh are all fine but once power goes out you better hope you found enough canned tuf yknow?

you could maybe find a pistol in one of the lockers but its a low chance and im not sure youre ready for the zombies being attracted to it

all that is really "the best" at the school is pencils and pens(good for being able to mark your map) and ciggarettes if you took the smoker trait

theyll all come to you but if you keep yelling and walking as far as you can youll lead quite a few away

tip: look for a generator if you can. dont put it inside cuz of a fire hazard but itll let you store all that fresh food youve (hopefully) been collecting and eating
