I installed programs like directx, vcredist and the .net framework. The game is opening now, but when you get to the character creation screen it simply crashes

I also added opengll to the game files folder

maybe it does not have java environment?idk if the steam automatically install one for you but try checking if you one.

Something seems wrong with your game install, as if there are some extra files put in its directory

Can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
