I was just playing in my first actual working run and have gone to 201 days for the first time without a single death, and for just half a second the power went out and so did my computer-
Now I return back to my game but my save file have become corrupt and I can't pkay on it anymore...

I really really don't want to lose that save file, and I personally really don't want to do it all over again 😭

What kind of error shows up for the corruption?

It says smth along the lines of "It seems the file is corrupt. The world type(?) is zero." and the play button is unclickable

If it is a version error, first create a new single player game with the exact same mods (if any).
Then navigate to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\Saves” find your specific broken save folder, and back it up. Then open the new game save folder that you created. From there, copy the “map_ver.bin” file and paste it into the broken save folder.
That should fix the version issue, if it does not then deleting the “map_t.bin” file could fix it as well, though this will cause issues with several other features, such as keeping track of time.

I'm not sure on how I would know if it's a "version" error but I already have tried something similar to that but it still didn't work...

#

It only got corrupted when my compyter crashed while I was playing the game
