Hello! I want to put second computer with 32gb of ram as server. What should be amount of ram in Json and bat files? I want to put at least 8GB or more for server. So I should put for example 16192MB in bat and json xmx args?

#

And how much ram should I put in game options for server

If you are using the second PC for other things, I'd check what kind of memory overhead those programs require

true girder
#

Ok but Im running this server through steam

#

So how to put this 2 values the same? If i wanna use G instead of m

In this file

You change "16384" to "16g" or "24g" or whatever other amount of ram desired

But if its solely dedicated to PZ hosting, 24gb for the server is quite a pile of RAM for small groups

And leaves you decent 8gb overhead for OS and other required computer things on the host machine

#

Hopefully that helps and makes sense?

true girder
#

Yes thats thats very helpful

#

But, When I put this ram

#

How much should I add for server

#

In menu create a server

shrewd igloo
#

Hold on

You are using the "host" button to run a world on the 2nd PC?

true girder
#

Yes

#

Problem with deticated server is moving world, mods and settings

#

especially mods

#

and im also using mod manager server

shrewd igloo
#

Oh, then the max you can get is 16gb with the "host" button

I was under the impression that you were doing a dedicated world

#

And you do not need to change those files for the hosted server option from the in game menu

#

If you have a whole second PC available, I'd recommend setting up Steam CMD

Ok so how to take mods from hosted server to dedicated server?

#

Because im trying to move server from my pc to second pc

shrewd igloo
#

One moment

true girder
#

Thanks mate, but I am confused about mod server manager, because I need to have the same mod load order

shrewd igloo
true girder
#

They should be in the zomboid folder?

shrewd igloo
#

Yes

#

Find your current hosted world save folder

Then fine the <worldname>.ini file in there. Sometimes called "servertest"

Thats where the mod IDs and such live in the order you loaded them

true girder
#

For me it's Serwer.ini

#

the mods are in the same order i think

#

workshop are present

true girder
#

I will put my other questions later, propably it's not the end, thanks for help mate for now

true girder
#

Ok so, im trying to boot server but

#

This happened

#

some mod fails download

#

This mod is mod options which i have downloaded on both pc's

#

I tried chaning app id in server folder

#

Puting it in read only works

Setting dedicated server with mods

solemn harness
#

How did you install the server exactly?

true girder
#

Using tool from steam

#

Dedicated server

#

Ok, how can I connect to server now? It's working

solemn harness
#

You just join the IP from the Join screen in your game

true girder
#

Yes, but it's not nosteam server, so I need to check my IP+19261 port?

solemn harness
#

16261

#

But yes

true girder
#

16262 and 16261 are blocked

#

Can I use other ports?

#

13344 seems to be open it's listening

solemn harness
#

You can try

#

Remember that the game uses UDP ports

true girder
#

I have unlocked them but how to check if they are opejed?

solemn harness
#

Connect to the server, if you can connect then they are open

#

I do not know of any reliable UDP checking tool

true girder
#

I cannot connect

#

they are openned

#

in router settings

#

and in windows

#

but still can't connect

solemn harness
#

Are you able to join using the local IP?

true girder
#

Im not
