Snippet of the lore from the event yesterday:

During the event, 3 men fought off countless waves of zombies,
Searching for Jeremy and his stash of gear. Ethan, one of the men found a boarded up storage closet and as his team was struggling to fight the hundreds of zombies, he pryed open the door with his crowbar. Upon opening it Jeremy was found, but with a bullet in his head. Rest in peace Jeremy.

The winds feel cold in the world of TLW. Many zombies are migrating to West Point, and no matter how many times groups try to clear out West Point of its zeds its as if their actions amount to nothing. They keep coming back. It'll take a lot of firepower to get rid of them.

We have some exciting news to share: Our admin and mod team has been gathering feedback from our small community over the past couple of weeks, focusing on PVP interactions, particularly KOS (Kill on Sight) zones. To enhance the thrill of PVP interactions, we've brought in a brand new KOS zone: Louisville!

Important: Once you enter the Louisville Army Checkpoint, anyone may shoot you on-site. Brace yourself!

Trust me, these points are more needed than you realize. While the server is crafted for a hardcore experience, these extra trait points don't significantly destroy the challenge. As the server embarks on its first season, expect many tweaks and changes as we experiment to intensify the challenge. We're open to community suggestions for any adjustments, but for the time being, the 12 points will remain in play for a bit longer.

The 12 free points get rid of the challenge, though. The traits can make you overpowered, and it's simple to not die, just simply take caution. I've been playing for nearly a decade and I can tell you, those free points make it too easy. Even with 2% sprinters, it's not much of a challenge. I can play with 30% sprinters just fine, you just have to carefully pick your battles and use common sense to survive.

It gets rid of the point of needing bad traits. It simply adds a crutch for newer players, with not much room to learn, ya know?

Sprinter chances were raised from 2% to 3%
Loot rarity was lowered from extremely rare to insanely rare
And zombie populations have increased from very high, to insane

it's a mix of both pve and pvp, we encourage pvp most times but you can play however you'd like
