#Getting really frustrated

I work long hours and sometimes I just want to come home and play Project Zomboid on my terrible laptop, but the game won’t even load anymore. It’ll get to the main screen, I’ll start my save, it’ll load and crash before the Click to Start button appears. Even then, pressing the screen after that won’t load the game, it’ll just crash. From there, if it loads, which is very rarely, it’ll be extremely choppy and low FPS (I’ve even installed mods that help with the FPS, but I don’t know if they’re bogus).

It’s just really frustrating. I just want to sit back and play my game but I can’t even do that. I don’t want to give up on it.

RAM: 4.00 GB (3.82 GB Usable)

It’s an HP laptop, I got it for work, it’s all I have

It runs Rimworld pretty well, I figured PZ would be similar in frames, but the game crashes on the “this is where you died” screen or even before

I’ve tried closing steam, discord, every process that isn’t essential and that uses up too much memory

Ah unfortunately that is well below the minimum requirements to play project zomboid

PZ needs almost 4gb of RAM just on startup, so you're maxing out computer memory with that

And the game ideally needs at least a 2.7ghz processor, with a 3.0ghz+ processor preferred

It’s a laptop, I don’t think so.
