#How to Prevent Mods from updating?

Hello,

In a previous question I asked, someone mentioned that there was a way to prevent mods from updating. I am running a legacy version of PZ and my mods are set and stable for my current build. Is there a way I can set it so the mods don't automatically update since my game doesn't either?

I believe they mentioned mod packs? Does that work?

Thank you for your time

Mod packs would be the only way, but you would need permission from the mod creators to upload the mod packs to Steam

Modpacks have to be public to be used for servers

#

Since the server needs to download the mods and distribute them for players

#

Unless, you are not running a server?

No, it's just for private use for solo play

That makes it simpler then, you just need to copy the mods from the Steamapps/workshop folder and paste them in the User/Zomboid/Mods folder

#

You have to copy the Contents of the Workshop mods, meaning you have to open the folder with the numbers and copy the folders from the "Contents" folder

#

Then check if the mods show up in your Mods screen (you should have duplicate mods now)

#

And then just unsubscribe from the mods, so they do not interfere with each other

#

This way you will just have the mod files for yourself, no longer updated
