I've been trying to determine this, but nowhere have I found the distinction that I'm after. Is it possible to make it so that zombies won't randomly spawn in, but existing zombies that have been killed but haven't been buried are still able to stand back up after 3 days?

There is no such option at the moment

Any zombies that have been killed are randomly selected to get back up, you could likely modify the numbers to be 100 percent, but it is not possible in the vanilla version of the game

Sorry could you clarify? Zombies will always have a chance to stand back up?

Does that mean I could set respawn hours to 0 and zombies wouldn't randomly spawn in, but would stand back up?

Because that's what I'm after

Yes, but the number that actually stand up is small, around 1-3 percent if I remember correctly, which is why I referred to modding the value higher

There are no regenerating zombies as far as I know
