Good server
been playing on the predecessor of this server for a long time and having experience with maybe three or four other servers, gotta say this one genuinely stands out. its got really nice staff, and the RP storylines are very creative but not to out there to where its not immersive. Very very cool, highly reccomend you hop in and try it out, see how you like it!

I've been seeing actual survival RP that is grim instead of a focus on building dream mansions and other activities that are popular when PZ is too easy. If you are a fan of grit and survival check this out

We're still in the opening days of our new wipe. This server has been set up with difficulty in mind. Loot is hard to come by, zombies are fast and vicious, and food is rare. I've seen people desperate enough to rob each other over a can of beans. If you're looking to be a real badass motherfucker (and if you have the skills to back it up) this is the server of choice.
Nightshade utilizes a respawn system where staff will roll 1d100 following PVE deaths. The result can cause your character to lose positive traits, gain negative ones, suffer amputation, or permanent death. Permanent death becomes more likely with each roll, capping at a 100% chance on your 6th PVE death. This is our middle ground between risk and forgiveness. Please note this system only applies to PVE. In PVP, the victor determines whether you live or die.

We are now four days into our new wipe and three settlements have been founded. Yet no one has been brave enough to venture into Louisville yet. It remains unlooted.
the goat made his own server
We've heard complaints from some new players that joining in an empty mall without direction is somewhat discouraging. Taking this feedback to heart we've created a simple new spawn area where players will start with some basic provisions and a map of locally known settlements.
This should enable our new players the option to more easily sort themselves into other player-made factions of split off on their own. If you haven't already now is a great time to put in an app on Nightshade. We look forward to playing with you!
wow, you got me on the damned introduction! very impressive! if i wasnt running my own joint id hop in right away! very good stuff
NIGHTSHADE - REPORT 2: A NEW FRONTIER
Early Spring, 2003.
The newest colony established on the northern frontier prompts rejoice among its inhabitants. The location is sublime, as the amount of infected seems almost nonexistent. With the old, dilapidated town of Rosewood just down the road, there lies a prime place to scavenge, repurpose and construct a new home for themselves.
While the prison is secure, there's still a lot of work to do. The armory to the east is still crawling with infected, many of which were old guards. It may indicate that it's been untouched by prying hands in the past, and hold something valuable.
Additionally, the town of Rosewood should be scowered for supplies, and possibly a proper place to live.
The Colony is where our story resides; a group of Bexar colonists set up in an old prison. This is the first group of colonists to truly settle the Exclusion Zone, an area revered by many all over the country as the starting point of the end of the Old Society, 10 years ago. With much of the prison cleared of the infected, the colonists scout to find the perfect place to call home.

Hello what is the server setting, or just setting in general?
As in story setting? The current season is set 10 years after the apocalypse hit, player characters come from off map colonies to try and establish a new colony in what is left of Knox county
Great question. The server is set 10 years after the initial apocalypse. As such we have the 10yl mod and a suite of mods focused on crafting. The loot settings are low, but most things can be crafted from scratch.
The zombies themselves are shamblers with the exception of nighttime where they do a light jog.
We have more information about the lore and setting available on our discord if you're interested! Thanks for asking.
Thanks. I will check them out later.
Our new lore launches later today! Excellent chance to get in on the ground floor of this sweet investment
RIP? I got banned
Really good server. Just needs more people.
I don’t think so. And I think those got removed with the new season actually
Slow and steady wins the race. The prison has largely been secured and people are getting to know one another. It's only a matter of time before the outpost is seen by the locals.
We had several locals visit.
I'm behind on my own lore 😂
@white flare
I really like the server having sort of quests and actual objectives as well as active NPCs.
Would really be great to have some more people here.
Hello
