My pc is a bit older, it can run the game but I have to do some overall adjustments to it before it properly works, so it will take a few days until I can actually get on the game

I would suggest adding more ram to the game, that improved my performance quite a bit

Normally the ram usage set to the game is 3gb or something

Yeah same I'm not a pc expert, someone told me about this. It's quite simple tbh. You just have to go to a certain file and change the ram usage amount to something higher. Depending on how much ram u have. For me I have 16gb, so I put 8gb

its when you host the server, its in your face to change the ram

Find your project zomboid files
Look for a file called ProjectZomboid64.Json
Open it with anything that can edit it ( I used notepad )
Look for a number in all the code and change it to wtvr you want

you shouldnt have to change ram for the game itself though
