Whenever I'm near zombies, even when its a very little amount, I run 30fps when usually its 120fps, how do I fix this?
ps: blood splatters are off and 3d items barely make a difference

Any mods enabled? And what are your PC specifications?

i have mostly qol mods, firearms b41 and cyro winter

nocturne needle
#

the second one is a continued version of the mod list since i needed to scroll down

Does the issue happen without any mods as well?

nocturne needle
#

Yes but less often

Can you first replicate the problem on an unmodded save? After that, can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?

gotchq

#

gotcha*

#

OK, i replicated it in vanilla, sending the logs

#

from what it looked like to me while playing the game, was zombies spawning in? but it lasts a while, like 10 seconds

#

And some sort of shader mod / initialization that I have not seen before

#

Which is likely related to the issue?

#

Try deleting the "mods" folder in the Zomboid folder

#

And then retry on a new game?

nocturne needle
#

nope

#

i deleted the mod folder like you said and it still is happening

#

do i send logs again?

vast forge
#

Yes preferably

First one, are you perhaps running the game in debug mode?

#

And secondly, your graphics card is a Quadro card

#

Those cards have really bad OpenGL support, as they are not really intended for gaming

#

The game uses OpenGL, therefore it does not run well on the Quadro line

nocturne needle
#

no debug mode but i always use the alternate start

I may recommend a full reinstallation, just because I have not seen the shaders load like that.
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.

#

Otherwise, it would likely just be driver related, and I cannot really help much in that case

nocturne needle

yeah its still doing it
