even if i play with lets say, 10-15 mods, some being QOL mods others adding guns and new features. before it worked like a charm being able to run at least 75-100 mods, but now it struggles and crashes on 10-15, i basically have to play the game fully zoomed in to have a chance

Experiencing Some Stutters?
It might be a lack of RAM issue.
On your gaming PC....
- Close project zomboid entirely.
- Open steam
- Open the project zomboid steam page
- On the right side of the screen, click on the small gear icon.
- Scroll to Manage
- Select Browse Local Files
- Scroll down in this folder until you find ProjectZomboid64.json
- Right click on that file and open it with Note Pad
- Scroll down in that file until you find the section with the header VMargs
- Find the sub-line under that header labeled Xmx3072m
- Highlight "3072m" and replace it with "8g"
- After the change, the line should read "Xmx8g",
- Close the file and accept changes
- Project Zomboid is now allowed to use up to 8gb of RAM rather than only 3gb.
NOTE: If your PC system only has 8gb of RAM total, then change the value to "4g". Players with 16gb+ of RAM are fine to allocate 8gb to PZ.

idk too much i can ask my brother sinvce he knows but all i know is that it has a msi r9 390
I just did that and now ill see if it runs
alright so a new problem arose, the game opens then crashes before i get the screen that shows the companies
