title says it all; trying to play with a friend and we cant see each other. we can both still interact with the world. hosted server, 4 GB of RAM

dont recall, im self hosting it on my own computer

when invited we were mutually invisible but when he joined my game manually we weren't

Hm, I would recommend using that for now, usually "invisibility" reports are tied to desync

Meaning, there is not much to help fix them as it would be network related
