Yesterday I play project zomboid just fine. Then I buy this war of mine. Then neither of them work. I try uninstalling this war of mine and it still wont work. I delete all the mods I have, does not work. I had a similar issue before when I wiped my computer.

Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?

Alternate launch does work

I recommend using it in that case, something else must be blocking the main launch .exe file

Alright, thanks for the help

I think I found that console.txt file

It shows your game launching just fine

I am not sure what you mean. Can you explain your issue?

ashen charm
#

You mean the issue itself when I start it up or..?

static river
#

I suppose? You just sent perfectly fine logs, and then asked if disabling mods would make a difference

#

I am not sure what difference it would make, since based on the logs the game runs fine

#

So what is your issue?

The issue is when i try launching the game. When I press play (And dont use alternate start). The game says its running for a second or 2 then it just does not start at all and closes before project zomboid has even booted up.

Such as lag?

That is unusual, you have any mods enabled? Did you try disabling them?

#

The alternate launch is the exact same as the normal launch, meaning the lag would come from your settings / mods

I just tested it without mods and the game lags alot upon starting though it would do that even if i wasn't using alternative start or not

static river
#

Just to understand, it lags during start or during gameplay?

Yes, that would be normal for the PC to slow down while it is loading the files

You can check your usage in the Task manager
