When joining my friends server after creating my character, "this is the end" is replaced with a frozen black screen. I can still hear music but can't get into the game. When i press escape i get sent to the menu. what should I do? Also how do i find the log.(I'm on mac)

Idk what happened, I haven't played this game in about 6 months. I came back to hearing the music in the background after character selection and a black screen with nothing else.

It lets me join other people's servers and do solo, but i can't join my friend's server

Are you able to join a random public server?
Anyone else should make their own thread with their own info and share the logs.zip file from the User/Zomboid folder, your issues are different
