Make sure all of your mods are off if you are using any, and then try launching the game

Alternative launching doesn't affect your FPS. That would be on your PC specifications. Can you share the Console txt file found in User/User/Zomboid here when you experience any lags?

I just reinstalled the game for the 3rd time and it didn't work, and I think it's important to mention that this all started when I formatted my laptop yesterday

and I don't think it's a performance thing since I've been in the game for 90 hours with this toaster
