On my dedicated server, I've got 20+ active players who can join every day with no issue. One player recently tries to join and gets an erorr over and over - 'wrong server password given'. We have no server password set up, though, and nobody else gets this error. Why is this happening?

Did the player perhaps write anything in the server password tab?
Because if there is no password, and they write something there, they would get this error

I am not sure why you would want to reset his password, the error states that he is putting the server password incorrectly

My friend has set up the server in a way of being able to join only from the host's invitation
so theres nothing i can do to fix this wrong password error

I completely reinstalled my game after even deleting my pz folder
Didn't fix
Only thing I haven't tried yet is the zomboid folder in C:/users/username/zomboid
Tomorrow I ll delete it and retry, idk it could have saved stuff or wtf I'm not even sure I know what I'm doing

I do recommend asking the server owner about the password in that case
Also check if you are able to join any other servers

Generally the error can be fixed by just doing a PC restart in that case
Or alternatively a server restart

Could have just needed a server restart, he had 6 people in there
