Does anybody know why specifically on my friends server i get 20 fps i tried hosting the exact same server with all the same mods and i get 120+ fps but no matter what i do on his i always get 20

Somebody pls help ^ it's a server with 6 people and he is the only one having FPS drops. When he hosts (with the same amounts of mods) he doesn't have any FPS drops. It's just in my server and it's only him

Playing with him hosting or you hosting? If you're hosting you probably will get higher fps. If he's hosting, the connection can reduce fps.

yes new mods but that didn’t do anything and when i hosted the server with the exact same mods and he joined me we were both getting good fps 120+
but then as soon as i join him boom 20

Does FPS improve if you lower your game resolution really low and turn off graphics settings? Silly question, but I'm curious.

Specifically ensure Blood Decals is disabled.
Also try Windowed mode. Then fullscreen. Then fullscreen borderless. Does that help at all?
And also, check Task Manager when youre in the server. Send a screenshot of the performance tab please.

Could you click the "Disk" tab to show whats using the most amount of usage and send a screenshot?
Also, could you send a picture of the Performance tab in Task Manager?
And what specs is your computer?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Zomboid?
Oh, and have you tried connecting to a different zomboid server to see if the performance is any different?
