disconnecting issue

me and my friend have been playing together on a server together, just the two of us. however, when playing, i frequently disconnect. it says “connection to server lost.”

we thought it may just be my connection, but whenever i host, i no longer disconnect. instead, my friend begins disconnecting. we’ve already posted to reddit with no avail, and there doesnt seem to be any fix for it we have found.

when hosting, i get zero ping.
when my friend hosts, he gets zero ping.
when not, i get 80-100 ping.
when my friend isnt, he gets 80-100 ping.

Try playing on a public server and see if either of you disconnect?

In the same playtime? Since generally a disconnect error would mean that you lose connection to the server

Meaning it can be caused by low RAM or network problems

Got the same problem, now I´m fine, how? I increase ram from 8GB to 16GB and I edit the json file

why Zomboid use 500-900 Mb ram per player in coop?

The server itself needs 2-3 gb, then you need 500mb per player

The screenshot you show is totally normal, you only have 3.5gb used

Ok, but is a LIE, te server is consuming 36gb and My PC 14gb, why?

If the server consumed 36gb and your PC is only 14 GB then the server would crash and your PC would crash as well
