There is no mini map in PZ vanilla, only real map you can loot & write annotation if you have a pen.

I dont remember i pz have a minmap one day of his entire history, are you sure you dont look after one mod ?

i ran the game with no mods when i first had it i had mini map
and why would there be a box to click for mini map if there isnt one in the game?

After some research its maybe you dont have the map in your inventory ( like the watch for have hour of the day )

Are you sure you have the map of the town you are ? There is multiple different map
Are you playing on server or solo ?

first i feel like that doesnt make sense and yes i play solo and yes i have the correct map when i try it

Try deleting the Lua folder from User/User/ Zomboid. Also make sure you enabled the mini map in the settings
If the issue persists , create a new modless save, take a screenshot of the map tap in the world settings .

did that work? Im afraid to delete random folders as it could get rid of one of my saves or something... but my mini map is gone also

@granite bone saves are stored in a different folder.
