Moved the smaller watermelon plant out of the pot it was planted in alongside the bigger one, I planted the smaller one in a different part of the ground because some of the roots stayed with it in tact (no disturbance for the bigger one, it didn't move or anything when I tugged the small one out, no resistance) but if I had to guess the smaller one's probably dead
