It’s honestly ridiculous that Build 42 of Project Zomboid still doesn’t have raccoon domestication in multiplayer. This is supposed to be a raccoon dating sim game at its core, but we’re stuck playing with only farm animals while waiting for the devs to finally catch up. If I can deal with crashes, glitches, and half-broken mechanics alone, why can’t I deal with them alongside a raccoon friend? The entire appeal of Zomboid is surviving the apocalypse together with a raccoon, building bases to house your raccoons friend(s) in, and trying not to die stupid deaths so your raccoons don't lose their loving parents. Without raccoon domestication in multiplayer, the whole point feels gutted. Instead of dragging this out, they should just let us domesticate gorgeous procyonids now and patch the bugs as they go. We’ve already proven we’ll slog through the rough edges in singleplayer with our raccoons buddies, so why gate multiplayer raccoon domestication
behind some mythical “perfect” build? It feels like they’ve lost sight of what makes this game special in the first place.
