To be fair i have adhd and severe autism so i do think about this stuff a lot and mentally i probably wouldnt, but if i was with a group of close minded individuals i think i could make it work, especially since the undead eventually rot, give it a 1-3 months window max and you can go loot whatever is left of society around you.
But to your point of injuries, while i do keep a few first aid kits with me, it would help to have other people, i have a close friend who is a doctor so he would be invaluable to a possible survivor group.
My other close friends have, fortunately, good skills that would also be invaluable to me (and each other) but, yeah, without other people around me, especially people i trust and i know i can count on, even if i knew i could survive for a few days i would probably just end it all
