Zomboid, in general, is not a PvP game. Especially when you lose all your skills upon death.
PvP is difficult to get people to play long term.
You can find PvP servers, but they are few and far between.
MOST peeps are PvE because the “point” is to loot, build a base, get gasoline, food, make a farm….

On the server I’m playing it’s pretty balanced because you can have up to 3 different characters .. so usually I grind skills with one and I use the other for PvP. The server itself is pretty balanced and has a good vibe, friendly people. And it’s very stable and the admins are very responsive

Failing to validate means your data does not match the last known information.
I.e. the server thinks you may have cheated or your data has been corrupted

High PING can result in a time out too. So players SHOULD use ethernet whenever possible cause it’s 5 times faster than wifi.
Literally the difference between 400 ping (which auto kicks you from the game) and 80 ping (perfectly playable)

One of the odd things about modding is that particular grey area. TONS of copyrighted tunes exist for tens of thousands of games and tens of thousands of mods.
The central reason it's a non issue is that it falls under "fair use" when it's for PERSONAL use, as well as non profit.
Good example is True Music for Zomboid. Hands down largest collection of mods for the game with thousands of songs.
Without getting into the actual legal side of things (cause that can spark debate), the fact remains this has been a thing for 15+ years of modding video games and no one takes action unless it's broadcast to an audience or linked to some kind of financial profit.
