You’re probably wearing them, they’re just invisible. Invisible clothing is a conflict.

If you have two items assigned to your knee? One of them is going to turn invisible.

Easiest way to test this is strip down naked and then only put on the kneepads. See if the kneepads pop up.

Then put on your pants. If you need pads, vanish, the pants are the problem.

Most mods for oldrim work on special edition you just need to change the tag on creation kit

At least for textures and such

It’s recommended to use cathedral optimizer cause you NEED optimized BSA files.

Nowadays theres a tool called cathedral optimizer that does the process automatically for you

The SKSE, Xedit guys have made a vast amount of modding automation or easy to understand.

Do as much as you can outside of creation kit first has been my approach.

WolvenKit for Cyberpunk links directly into Blender which is epic.

But RedEngine is crazy busted. So even having modding tools limits how much you can actually mod into the game.

Texures and lighting tend to be the easiest thing to mod anyways. So IMO engine is irrelevanr.
