Servers for 4+ players need around 8 GB RAM at the MINIMUM.

There's a way to configure sleep required for multiplayer, but make it a few minutes' worth of sleep. So it'll turn it into something like State of Decay, and others can still play when someone needs sleep.
Can't remember how to set that though.
No need to sleep for actual in-game hours to recover.
