Done some store looting and since I was spooked by the zombie count by the big grocery store I got fucked up so many lacerations and scratches and damage to my car and weapons. I know that the factories and storage lockers be worse so I don't want to have to go there if I don't but at the same time it has good loot.

I'm I think anyways playing survival zombie count with builder loot levels? I set the world to builder, spawned in, left, set the online world to survival and been playing that way ever since.

What to grab kinda depends on your build.

The storage units are only loud to get into because you often have to bang your way through every door. Every storage building, though, has at least one unit open... and you can lure zombies in there to kill them and hope that one of them drops a key.

I'm basing up in the fishing store, running into town for loot strikes house to house, the hardware store, some clothing stores and the pharmacy. I bring loot back up to my base by the fishing store and go from there.

I found a supper nice I mean super nice double sided paddle, so much damage and full condition heavy weapon so good splash damage on the swings. It was 1 of 1 in a sports store. Not found anything as good so far and I almost used it all up on the hoard that nearly killed me the first time. I'll be sad but oops I didn't worry about my modifiers and didn't do the damage I could have if I waited to come back and took preventative pills.

Is this a good plan and what do I replace this supper op weapon with there were just so many zombies I hit so many it lost so much durability.

Well, a shovel is really good and uses the same weapon skill as the double-ended paddle. That or a baseball bat or crowbar... but crowbar is low damage unless you're high skill and high strength, but will last a long time.

Also, the double-ended paddle is... not super op. 😄 It's not bad, but it's fragile AF.

I have a key from some zombies in town, never figured out how keys work if they aren't car keys.

My plan is load up a good like long term base that is good enough I have a way to continuously level up all or at least most of my skills without leaving the base by the fishing store yeah that will take a while and a lot of loot runs though. After that I level up and quarantine zone the city slowly bit by bit (yes I have respawn on so this be such a pain). I normally loot the town, gear up a tad get stuff like storage (backpacks fanny that kinda stuff) good clothing and weapons, go to the factories and get better base stuff and make sure whatever weapons I found are resupplied if not upgraded, go to the storage lockers and loot that. That said my first time doing a survival play thorough I went to the storage lockers, killed some zombies with my car, got out as it was a weak car didn't want it breaking down here and died to the rest of the zombies. I am scared to go back those places are crawling as fucking hell and unlike town all the buildings be locked so I can't just hop into one for quick temporary bandage up and weapon change safety.

I think I'm high strength whatever the top two stat bars are in the skill section are almost maxed out with my character stats that's the perks I picked so I'm underweight and in good shape somehow. The shoves are OK they do as much as a one sided paddle. I'm fire fighter so ideally I'd find a two handed axe but all I found were 2 1 handed axes. One I'm keeping for trees to chop.

I killed a zombie with a large backpack but that's it, 2-3 clothing stores and not even a fanny pack, where do I get more storage? What should I look for in terms of loot before I call the town cleared out enough to not need to go back for a while?

Two bites and a laceration and two scratches one laceration being on the neck. Dam near killed me even with the antibodies mod.)

For me, I hit up all the major book spawns in order to assemble a complete collection of skill books (in Riverside there are 4 big book spawns in the book store, post office, school and yacht club)... and for that you'll need more storage than you can carry on your person.

There's the ice cream store, which is fun to loot if the ice cream is still good.

The hardware store.

The VHS store.

The gated community on the East end, for all the garages. And the fact that all those bathrooms have a lot of medical supplies too.

It might have been a scratch but it was bad, either a scratch or a laceration and whatever the neck wasn't the torso was so scratch to neck was laceration torso was scratched vise versa and some bites to the arms and hands and a scratch somewhere as well.

I have looted the hardware store lot of low level loot nothing great like a NICE shovel just OK ones, some one handed axes but not a two handed one, a hard hat and that's it. Like yeah they have the very obvious stuff seeds and a hammer and a saw and that's it.

What's wrong with looting the place and basing at the fishing store, its near the gas station and half way between town the farm area and the factories? Served me well last run even if I did get a tad cocky with how many zombies I thought I could kill at the storage lockers.

Maybe there are the same number of zombies maybe even less at the storage place and factories but if they don't all have line of sight to try and attack you or know EXACTLY where you are its easier to kill them in my option so they still be more scary.
