one of my favorite bits of this style thing is in project hail mary (mild spoilers, btw) || the protaganist meets an alien lifeform, who, among other things (such as having a language similar to birds chirping from the human perspective of it) came from a planet much, much larger than earth with an incredibly thick ozone layer and minimal decaying isotopes, which led to their species having no knowledge of the concept of radiation. it ends up affecting the plot but my takeaway is how interesting the starter conditions for life can affect their understanding of the universe ||
