changing player nametag

I have spent a few hours looking for how to change a player nametag but all of them come up as needing mundosk and to my knowledge mundosk does not work on 1.21 does any1 here know how to change player nametags on 1.21?

don't use the Skript papi expansion, use the papi Skript addon (skript-placeholders) and create your own. That papi expansion is outdated

all the tab plugin did for me was break what I had set up to change the player's tablist name
