Do you know which version of skbee should I use for 1.12.2? Mine is shown in red in plugins list so I'm not sure
use 1.20.4
latest has the most support, but if you need outdated head to the skbee github and scroll down
use your brain please
if I use 1.12.2 it means I have a reason to use it
your comment was completely useless so avoid this in the future
majority of people using outdated versions are fools, so im good
shit version regardless
zero reason to actually use it
less features, outdated addons, less players use it, doesn't have 1.8 pvp to warrant using an older version
Using outdated versions is both dumb and pointless, and 99% of skripters here won't give you any sort of help
I'm fully aware of the lack of things in older versions yet there is still reasons that make me use it for my server specifically
So servers on older versions in general are pointless?
Now i'm questioning the point of your nonsense here
excluding 1.8, yeah
Play your sweet 1.20.4 or whatever it is and let others play what they want tf
I might also just talk about the game getting worse in newer versions but it's not the reason why I'm using 1.12.2 so
Like personally I'm a newer versions player yet there is reasons I'm using this version right now it means nothing
1.8 is about the only relavent older server choice, other than that, there are zero reasons, unless playing modded
Oh sorry there is zero reasons I don't know why I'm using it then so sorry
If you're playing modded, 1.12.x is fine, as its one of the most modded versions there are, but unless you're using 1.8 for the combat system, there's no reason not to be using 1.20.4
Ya you're completely right you might also just set up the server for me since you know all my goals here
and everything
You should have expected little to no support from people when you're using both an outdated version of minecraft, as well as expecting us to tell you what outdated version fo skript is used for it
That's on you.
yall
The vast majority of people here use current version of skript and minecraft, and won't take the time to back trace to an older version
I never complained about not having much support, you only came here to tell me what to use or not use, which is completely off topic
No one ever said 1.8 wasn't lol
okay so lets stop yapping shall we!
yay problem solved
No need to remind you that this forum is for help and the day I'll ever ask for your opinion then get in
Problem not solved, when he wants to get upset because of being told something relavent to his question
By not one, but two different people.
It's off topic
This is a help channel, so if you're not helping just don't talk
I'll see by myself the amount of support I get
And I don't mind
I was helping, by telling you what to expect, so rather than have a piss poor attitude and get upset, learn to take the help when given lol
That wasn't help lol
You're going to end up ignored by the vast majority of knowledgeable users with that attitude.
Nobody asked, not to be toxic
Definitely toxic
can anyone help me?
This, is passive aggressive and unneeded.
Again you just brought up the fact that Im not going to get support how is this helpful?
Telling me not to use older versions like go tell that to the millions of players then
That is helpful, you could google something yourself and find out what version is used for 1.12.whatever or whatever other version you're trying to play on
Rather than coming here and asking questions without first mentioning what version it regards
8ights response would have probably been different or non-existant had you mentioned what version of minecraft you were using from message one
Instead you're wasting peoples time.
The skript lang is not supposed to be changing that much
It's changed quite a lot as to whats integrated in, and what isn't
Especially since 1.12
I was trying to see what's the expression in the first place then see what I can do with it
And see the versions supported
But without mentioning your versions, no one can know whether the expression is within a version of skript you use or not
See my point?
8ight wasted time getting an expression for you that likely isn't in the 1.12 version of skript
On top of that, no one short of the addon dev, are going to memorize what versions of what work with a specific version of Minecraft
Again since you like saying people mostly support newer versions you're mostly going to get help with those versions without needing to specify the version you're in
And I was fine with that
That's fine, but newer versions tend to range 2.8+
Not much has changed
But from 1.12 minecraft to 1.20 things have drastically changed
I'm aware, and I only wanted to know if this was a thing in the first place
That's how I work
Again, that's a waste of peoples time.
When you could simply look in the docs yourself and find out the answer
I did, and couldn't find
Then we come back around to mentioning your minecraft version, as to not waste peopels time.
Sometimes you need to ask to get the answer. The way you're searching is probably not the way you should
How is it s waste of time asking a single question
You're missing the point, so I'll leave this alone now.
Thanks, finally
Was about to get a headache here
I'm so sorry for wasting people's time by asking "how to do this" like most people instead of asking "how to do this in this version with this addon "
Missing my point when I said that I'm only trying to know if it's a thing and if it is, do research on it by myself. But yeah, that surely wastes people's time
Even if its a thing in current version, doesn't mean its a thing in something that old.
That's my point
Again still missing mine
That's something I'll know by myself
And I'm aware of the status of old versions of skript which is why I'm not bothering people with my situation and only ask if it's a thing
If you had simply mentioned what version you use, you wouldn't have been where we are.
Because again, you wasted peoples time by not mentioning it from the first message
You'd have likely gotten the answer without having to check it yourself
I would probably updated up to the version having this feature. All in one question
I work with optimization
Then you could have asked "is there any way in version XXX to do XXX, if not, what version supports it"
The most optomized version will always be current version
Your point:
You're wasting people time by asking them a simple question instead of a specific one
Is that correct?
Exactly
Well i'm done here then
🙏
Is your issue fixed?
It doesnt really look like it, although they know how to fix if if they update
But for unspecified “reasons” they wont
Simply saying whether it's a thing or not would be a fix for me
But you guys like to complicate things for no "reasons"
No its not complex you just click on a download button
