Idk if that's valid syntax, but what if you just did set (level of sharpness of event-slot) to (level of sharpness of event-slot) + 1

U need index of event slot
I belive event-slot returns the item not the slot number

Mb, so the player opens the inventory
they are in their inventory
they click the nether star
then they drag it over the sword
and click on the sword with the nether star
the sword increases in sharpness, the nether star disappears after

Because the nether star dissapears and the sword then gets in the cursor slot
