I swear I have looked every where and i dont know if im an idiot or what but i need help.

I can not figure out a way if there is one to check the Generic Attack Damage modifier of a held item or the Generic Attack Damage of an entity or player i have looked for so long and i feel like im going crazy

thanks for the responses and sorry for not responding lol i was asleep, i need to check the full damage you will deal (ig if that makes sense), like the attack damage you deal WITH any attack damage modifiers from weapons, the normal "attack damage of player" thing works but it always shows as 1 because 1 is the base attack damage of the player (or at least thats what i think it is)

i would do the thing where i just make a thing that changes some kinda variable based on the weapon you hold but the thing im making has a LOT of different weapons so i'd rather find another way to do it

idk if this is what your saying but assuming it is my issue is that there are multiple weapons, i could do this individually for each weapon but if there is a way to make it so like

if the tool has the attack damage attribute, it will set {attackdamage.%uuid of player%} to the same number as that attack damage attribute

i saw another post in here mentioning "Final attack damage attribute of player" which supposidly does what im looking for (showing the full attack damage you deal including with bonuses from held or worn items) but it did not work, maybe there is something there though?

its pretty much used by different Abilities that you have in game, the damage of the abilities are based on your attack damage

alr but there might be an issue actually, the abilities arent on the weapons they are seperate items that you use but they are based on pretty much the last weapon you held
