you could do that but it'd be rather resource inefficient

for one, you need a bit of Java knowledge to figure out how packets work, and for two, definitely check out the ThatPacketAddon

I would recommend you do it with resource because packets are pain to work with them specially if you're java knowledge is 0

honestly, I would just tell the players who want light, to use OptiFine or Fabric + LambDynamicLights

So many players already do this, you're going to be wasting resources sending light packets to players that already have the light
