#How to add a permission to a player

Hello, I'd like to start off by apologizing for two posts in such a short amount of time but I need a bit of help. So I was originally hoping to use sk-perm to add a permission to a player once they've achieved something. Annoying thing is, sk-perm is not working because versions are different so I am wondering if there is a alternative plugin I can use. If you are wondering what I'm trying to do is this. Once the player get's 500 dollars they can left click a grass block and it sends them a message and tells them they brought it and straight afterwards gives them the permission to actually use the block.

So all suggestions are welcome of course!
