I have 2 ideas for Cryo affecting damage overtime instead of the way it currently is and I'd like to hear how people feel about it.
The first idea is instead of having the Cryo's acid doing flat number whenever you walk over it. It would deal much lower damage, but tick a lot faster, and ramp up in damage the more you stand in it. So it'd start out for exmaple 6, then 8, then 10, then 12, etc. etc. until it reaches a cap of X number of damage? The damage would tick very fast to prevent never getting kills with it.
To help with this, what if the damage puddles were also slightly larger for better area denial? Pyro counters Cryo acid very heavily now, so I don't think it'd intrude on gameplay too heavily if the sizes of the puddles increased.
Second Idea was instead a massive single amount of damage upon direct spit, it would deal a smaller number, then sizzle on top of them dealing 3 ticks of Dot. So you'd have a 50 damaging spit, then it ticks three times for an extra 5 damage (To equal the current 65)
Same thing could apply for bile bombs, instead of dealing a flat 110, it would deal 80, then tick 3 times for 10 damage.
I jut thought it'd be a cool way to integrate soe more dynamic acid for Cryo that really feels like it's melting somebody rather than just flat acid damage, it'd probably feel a lot more satisfying in gameplay and really feel like some sort of sizzling damage output.
I still think it could be reduced by a tad, either in damage or the amount of damage a cryo can do (with amount of spits)
