The current tip system in the game is, to put it blunt.. not good. Almost every tip there is more of a tutorial on how to play the class, and not actual tip information on how to improve gameplay with nearly any of the characters, with only 1 tip on the actual tip menu being useful for improving your gameplay.
I'll give an example here:
For T. rex, the first two tips, are literally what's being described on the left side of the screen. it is not necessary to be written there twice, as it's already written there once. The wording for the Roar with RoarButton tip, in all honesty is better worded than the one on the Roar Ability description, so I'd honestly just put the wording from the tip there.
Same with the tip for the tailswipe, it's already worded on the left, and doesn't need to be a tip down there either, because neither are tips, they're just class tutorials.
I'll do a small breakdown and give some suggestions on what the tips should actually be:
Rex
First Tip: "Roar With RoarButton to give dinosaurs an attack boost."
-Doesn't need to be here, as it's already described on the left side of the screen.
Second Tip: "Use SecondaryButton to send humans flying."
-Doesn't need to be here, as it's already described on the left side of the screen.
Third Tip: "You can change the direction of your tail swipe by looking left or right"
- Not a bad tip, but this honestly could just be integrated into the left side of the screen's secondary attack description as "Directional tail swipe that sends humans flying."
Fourth Tip: "Tyrants are heavy enough to trample humans to death by walking over them."
- Good tip.
Rex Tip Suggestions:
-
Tyrants can brace by holding ButtonHere for 5 seconds. Once bracing, you mitigate extreme damage at the cost of Stamina.
-
Tyrannosaurus has the fastest devour of the Tyrants, but also has the biggest head.
-
When Devouring a human, all Tyrants take less damage.
-
Be sure to roar before an attack starts, as your buff for your allies lasts for only X seconds.
-
Stay with your team! The best Tyrants know to group up and stay by other teammates in the case of dangerous situations. Don't run in alone!
