Gentlemen, i had a dream..
a PC:E related dream.
It all took place in a large underground tunnel map, i was playing as a human and the stakes were high, with both teams fighting ruthlessly for prevalence but instead of the typical fast paced yet kinda mindless action of a typical Primal Carnage match, people had to be actually strategic with their approach because we were not fighting only against dinosaurs but also trenched humans on the enemy team so a frontal approach wasn't an alternative, thankfully the map offered an alternative route and we were able to flank and secure the position.
And yes, you heard right.. In my dream, human vs human gunplay combat was possible into Primal Carnage which added a whole different level of strategizing and gameplay depth.
This type of TDM combat scenario would be closer to what is usually known in videogames as Red vs Blue, a type of gamemode made of two symmetrical opposing teams not separated by species but mainly skill and tactics, allowing for people to play as human or dinosaur at anytime for the team as all that matters would be fighting for your team colors. And while far from the revolutionary idea, (kinda what Dino D-Day tried) i definitely think a gamemode like this would give PC:E the gameplay variety and freshness it necessarily needs, while also not being overly complex or unrealistic to implement. (Teammate dinos and humans could simply be outlined in Red or Blue depending on the team the player is on while enemies could just look like how normally other players already do into the game)
This could also bring more variety into the type of level designs PC:E could have, with the easier addition of future competitive game modes such as classic Capture the Flag in which only humans of a team could grab and return the flag. Plus dinosaurs being able to fight against each other would also add a whole different twist as well. (There was also an Allosaurus class in the dream, and i am sure it was the PoT Allo, so that doesn't need to be added). :allolove:
I am aware this is far from lore or og concept friendly but i am not trolling. The dream actually happened and felt actually intense to "play" so i would be interested in opinions on something like this.
