The trapper, Jackson Stone, Poacher extraordinaire- the guy with the net. But he doesn't just have a net, he has a KNIFE, a knife that is explicitly mentioned in his paperwork mind you. In the original game, he had the ability to hold his knife out (or at least the animations for it existed). This, however seemingly impractical it may be, is cool. It lets you chase dinos around with a knife and looks menacing, much like pathy.
Now speaking of yours truly, you may be thinking; "Well why give trapper a special knife if pathfinder already has machete?" and to that I say; A smallish bowie knife is not equal to a giant ass machete. It could do heavy melee levels of damage and perhaps be quicker to use, as well as simply serving as a backup weapon for a class that tends to run out of ammo rather quickly.
And if you don't agree with this, at LEAST give trapper back his badass stab animation for net kills. Shit went hard.(And it would put you in a vulnerable state, as any one shot gimmick should)
