#looking to find mmorpg friends pref parents gamers

i feel like for those 4 games, its faster to find people if you join each game's discord and find the lfguild/lfg channels in them its usually the best to find like minded players that way... there's also subreddits for gw2, ff14 and wow for guild and static recruitments
Adding to Astyrah's points a lot of these have LFG channels which have gaming groups/guilds/what have you who advertise through them, so you might find your place joining a group of those. I'm like 99% sure I saw an ad for a mostly-dad group over in Last Epoch's Discord server... so there's that!
Was maybe leaning towards something new maybe if there is even any good mmorpgs exept thoose ive talked about
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh there's your problem boss.
New isn't something the MMO genre really does. You've got a few things that are recent, Ashes of Creation is on Steam now, there's Throne and Liberty I think, there's probably a lot more too but I don't know what has and hasn't come out of which phases. Lots of them end up in these weird hammerspaces of seven-year alpha tests.
New World is shutting down (in a year?), so that's only really an option only if you're looking to play just within that time.
It's why most people suggest those four older games, they're old yeah but they're kind of past all of the problems that are generally holding lots of other titles back. They're also time-tested, like when WoW finally decides to shut down it's not gonna be a newsletter and a 'pop we're done.' They'll make a whole-ass Cataclysm-esque event out of it, probably have a full on event for its last day; the entire world will be aware of when World of Warcraft shuts down. Very probably same for OSRS and FFXIV; GW2 might get away with a pop, but they seem to still be selling expansions regularly so I'm not sure if they'd want to do that anyway.
Nobody's going to bat an eye if something like Throne and Liberty goes butts-up, so it's always that little worry you contend with.
when ff14 shut down the first time it had a doomsday feel of the "moon" actually getting hotter and closer to the planet
so i can imagine if wow ever does its gonna go out with a bang
not with some simple news letter like new world gave
I mean I'd have loved to see something but I think they were just done with it at that point, or ordered to be done with it at any rate.
Anyway yeah new MMOs are a struggle bus, as far as I've heard you get clone games or grifts, and that's why most recommendations go to older games.
Haha like majoras mask zelda
Been jumping between the wows and osrs mostly but even when actively searching for s group and being social its always a missmatch for some reason xd starting to think i am the issue 🥲😂
Most socializing happens outside the MMORPG now, usually in a Discord about the game
