Themepark or Sandbox doesnt matter slightly prefer Themepark
Action Combat or hybrid
first or third person can be top down but would prefer other two
must be f2p
must be medieval/fantasy (not into sci-fi that much)
can be mmo-like

Now that all the basics are out of the way
My main requests are
a decent sized skill tree or otherwise obvious way to gain power with unique builds preferably tied to character not equipment.
A unique and customizable magic system
semi reasonable graphic (I know mmos typically are lower on graphic but I want it to be ok looking)

Overall looking for something I can
feel like a arch-mage
have clear progression
customize my spells/abilities

MMOs I have tried and mini review
wow overall decent but never got hooked
Albion not customizable enough and builds are generic af
BDO played it for a day was decent than gamepass ran out and low key forgot about it.
wynncraft overall very fun
hypixel skyblock (if you want to call it an mmo) great and simple progress not ultra customizable but enough options atleast early to scratch the itch.
warframe overall good but a commination of many small things+ sci fi made me quit
GW2 low key forget it was a while ago
Eso didnt play it long enough
FF15 good but progression was iffy curently still playing

Path of Exile? Or go retry ESO

#

Otherwise you don't really have any other options

#

ESO has spell customisation, plenty of abilities to choose from and freeform skill building/weapons

#

and medieval aesthetic, and one of the few mmos with a first person option

#

Path of Exile has plenty of skill trees/in-depth builds and is free and medieval aesthetic

Honestly doesn’t need to be an mmo if that helps.

if you dont mind something old, Ragnarok Online (the original one for PC not the mobile rubbish) is pretty okay. the official servers are p2w so half the whole playerbase plays on private servers
