I have encountered the same issue as others here.

I verified my card on May 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM, and the $10 hold was placed on my account. However, it has now been over 7 days and I still have not received the $10 credit back to my account.
Could you please look into this issue and let me know when I can expect the refund? Thank you very much for your assistance.

I have checked with my bank’s customer service. They told me that they can only see the initial hold for the payment, but there is no information about the release or refund so far. At the moment, they are unable to track the progress of the refund.
@marsh flower I noticed there’s a new “API Key” option on the official website today. How do I use it? Can I connect it to other apps, kind of like how you use OpenAI’s API? (By the way, I just saw the website UI got updated too—it looks so much better now, haha.)
This is your API key of the KiloCode provider - in case you'd use KiloCode API (not extension per se) from any another app.

No, it's not available in other apps. The API key is to use with web-based IDEs.

Also, I have a small question out of curiosity. You pre-authorize $10 and then refund it, plus you’re giving away so much free credit—how do you guys actually make money? Isn’t this kind of marketing unsustainable?
I don’t use it a lot, but I’m still pretty curious, haha.😆

I actually have another question—does the free credit I get from the $10 pre-authorization have an expiration date? I haven’t really been programming lately since I’ve been learning other things, and so far I’ve only used less than $1.😆

I guess I’ll just keep waiting. Luckily, it’s only $10, so it’s still acceptable for me. It’s just that the amount of time it’s taking is way more than I expected.
Please let us know when it does finally happen then we have a better idea of what we should do for certain banks

Oh, it’s really no big deal! I’m just really surprised, that’s all. When I verified my Google GCP account before, they also did a pre-authorization charge of $1, but it was refunded pretty quickly—like, within three days. But this time it’s taken so much longer, which is why I’m so surprised. I’ve also verified with Cursor and OpenRouter before, and both of those were actual deposits and there were no issues at all. So I really don’t get why it’s taking so long here. Maybe your service is just super popular right now, haha, and my refund got pushed to the back of the line.😆
I’ll let you know once I get my refund. I’m also curious to see how long it’ll actually take to get my $10 back.
Alright, my ten dollars finally came back today. The reason was that the authorization expired. But it doesn’t matter—I’m just glad it’s finally back.😆
