#Add a realism mode and sandbox mode

I get where youre coming from and yeah it could be cool but realistic simulations are extremely performance costly, lots of calculations have to be performed at every moment to ensure everything behaves properly and so when you merge a craft that is stable in its natural simulation and move it to a realistic simulation is can not only create major instability, but performance would tank because calculations would have to be performed on every single part at every given moment.
I see the vision, unfortunately its just not possible especially inside of unity
G-forces, stress damage, etc., might not be too hard.
G forces are already calculated in some way for first person camera movement, so is stuff like wing flex. Bet you could implement some of this stuff by just using things like these that are already being calculated.
Not at all, but those are linear values, i.e. wings may have a threshold where at x force they may “snap”, which is observed in JNO. While these seem realistic, they are only emulations of physics. Realistically for complex calculations as the original post references, wings may snap under their threshold due to built stress, or may withstand over their threshold for periods of times, rather than being more of an “if true then” statement. I understand the vision, again, but at the end of the day these simulations are more left for science rather than recreational usage
It wouldn't be very hard to make them not "linear values." For example there are a bunch of games that simulate the progression of stress damage and stuff, unlike JNO.
realism mode is called flying a plane in real life
the alien simulation engine running the universe can handle all those calculations easily, doing them trillions of times per second
true, it would be very performance heavy, but maybe the realism mode could only be available to PC players or could come with a disclaimer and possibly even some PC power suggestions. or this could be implemented through the ingame settings, you could enable different realistic settings for what you want to affect you plane, this could be used to test your ideas in certain areas without worrying about other things weighing-in.
what would be the purpose i guess for implementing this
some people would prefer to just muck around and make planes without worrying too much about realism or complex ideas, but other people would like the difficulty of realism and try to make planes with more life-like drag and lift models
I don't think I want simpleplanes to become beamng for planes its supposed to be SIMPLE
simple planes 1 isnt that simple itself
